Feedback arrives after the resignation letter
A quarterly pulse at a 600-person company with entities in Cyprus and Germany starts with an export. HR pulls the employee list into a spreadsheet, deletes last month's leavers, adds the new hires and pastes the rest into a form tool. Half the team doubts the form is anonymous, so the answers that come back are careful. Reminders go out by hand from someone's inbox. Two weeks later there are 400 comments in a sheet, and the summary for leadership is whatever someone had time to read. The exit survey runs in another tool, when someone remembers to send it. Skailer changes that by running surveys on the same employee records as the rest of HR: the audience builds itself, anonymity is one setting, and the comments come with a summary.
Anonymity
Make a survey anonymous so people say what they actually think
Turn on Make anonymous in the Launch plan and set the Number of answers to unveil results, at least 3. Until that many people answer, the Summary, the exports and the AI highlights stay closed, so a small team can't be read person by person. Completed answers show in the Participation tab as Anonymous participation, and the setting is fixed once responses arrive. You can share results with named people and open them only after the survey is completed.
01Make anonymous
Names are removed from results and exports.02Threshold of 3 or more
Results unveil only when enough answers are in.03One rule for every view
Summary, XLSX export and SK.AI highlights follow the same threshold.04Fixed after the first answers
Anonymity can't be switched once responses are submitted.05File question warning
You and the respondent are both warned that a file can reveal who answered.
Participation
Build the audience from employee data so nobody is missed or asked by mistake
Participants come from rules you save, and Skailer generates the list from employee records: everyone in the German entity, one department, or people with more than 6 months of employment. Employees in Employed and On leave statuses are included and terminated employees are excluded; someone who leaves mid-survey moves to Canceled and stops counting toward progress. The invitation goes out from the person you choose, with your own subject and body. Reminders reach whoever hasn't submitted, in the app and by Email or Slack.
01Rule-based participants
Legal entity, location, department, job profile, tenure or a custom field.02Invite from a person
An HR lead or a manager as the sender.03Reminders in 3 channels
In-app always, plus Email and Slack.04Gentle, Balanced, Persistent or Custom
A preset cadence or your own interval in days, weeks or months.05Participation tab
Added, Invited, In progress, Completed, with Department, Job profile and Job role filters and reminder history.
Results
Read results by question and team so you know where to look first
The Summary tab shows invites, submitted answers, response rate and a chart of submissions over time, then aggregated answers for every question. An employee NPS question returns eNPS as % promoters minus % detractors. In named surveys, the eNPS score breaks down By department and By manager, filters narrow results by Department, Job profile or Job role, and each completed response opens on its own. Open any question to see the answers behind one option or rating.
01Live Summary
Response rate and submissions over time.02eNPS
9–10 are promoters, 0–6 detractors, passives left out of the score.03Breakdowns in named surveys
By department and by manager.04Option drill-down
From a chart segment to the answers inside it.05XLSX export
Participant-level in named surveys, without identities in anonymous ones.06Survey history on the profile
The employee profile lists the surveys a person took part in.
SK.AI
Let SK.AI read the open answers so every comment counts
Turn on Use AI to analyze responses in the survey's Details step, with Surveys AI enabled for your organization. When the survey is completed, SK.AI highlights appear above the aggregated results with repeated themes and notable points, and each open-answer question gets its own summary. In anonymous surveys the AI works under the same threshold and receives no respondent identity. Treat the highlights as a first read: the answers stay one click away, so you can check the context before you act.
01Survey-level highlights
Themes and notable points above the results.02Open-answer summaries
Inside each free-text question.03Same privacy rules
No highlights below the anonymity threshold.04Full results only
Summaries are hidden on filtered views, so they always describe the whole result set.05Ask in chat
The SK.AI assistant and the MCP connection for Claude read survey results with your access.Automated surveys
Send surveys on hires, exits and a schedule so none depends on memory
Build a questionnaire once, from a template or from scratch: text blocks, open answers, multiple choice, scales from a shared library, employee NPS and File questions, split into sections and pages. Then let Flows send it: a set number of days after Hire date, before a Termination date, or on a recurring schedule for a monthly pulse. Each flow survey has its own work period, participants and reminders, and it is listed under Automated, apart from the surveys you launch by hand. Flows decides when a survey goes out and to whom; Surveys collects and analyzes the answers.
01Templates and scales
Reuse a questionnaire and the same rating scale across surveys.02Onboarding and exit surveys
Sent on dates tied to Hire date or Termination date.03Recurring pulse
A flow on a recurring schedule creates each new survey.04Add employee to survey
A flow adds a new hire to a survey that is already running.05Save to field
An answer updates a profile field or a custom table.
One HR platform
Surveys run on the same records as the rest of HR
Participants come from Core HR, so legal entities, departments, managers and statuses are the ones HR already maintains. Onboarding and offboarding send their surveys through Flows, answers can update a profile field, and survey history shows on each employee's profile. Surveys ask many people about the company and their work; Performance reviews assess one person's work.
