AI HR assistant

Ask about your people, goals and leave. Confirm every change before it happens.

SK.AI is the AI assistant built into Skailer that lets employees, managers and HR ask about goals, colleagues, time off, surveys and performance reviews in plain language and act on the answer. It reads only the data the person's role opens to them. Before it updates a goal, requests or approves time off, or gives a recognition, it shows a card with the change, and nothing happens until the person confirms. Ask “What do I have to do?” and get your reviews, surveys, tasks, documents to sign and approvals in one list, overdue first.
01Sees what you can see
Answers come from the data your role opens. A manager sees their team, an employee sees their own record.
02Asks before it acts
Every change shows a card first. Nothing changes until you confirm, and nothing can be deleted.
03Checks before it requests
A time off request shows your balance, what's left after it and who approves, before you send it.
04Off until you switch it on
Admins enable AI for the organization, then per job, survey or review cycle.
The problem

HR answers shouldn't take five screens or a message to HR

A manager wants to know who is out next week, which goals are behind and what is waiting for their approval. That means a leave calendar, a goals page, an inbox and a reminder from HR. An employee who wants three days off opens a form to type one sentence. Open-ended survey comments sit in an export nobody finishes, and recruiters read every CV against the same list of requirements. Teams that paste HR data into a general chatbot get answers with no permissions model behind them and nothing to confirm. Skailer changes that by putting an assistant next to every page that works from the same data and the same permissions as the rest of the platform.
Answers from your data

Ask about goals, people and leave so you stop clicking through reports

The assistant opens next to the page you're working on and stays open as you move between pages. Ask in your own words, and it searches goals, employees, time off, surveys and performance reviews, then answers in the language you asked in. Each step shows while it works, and you can expand its reasoning. Lists come back as tables you can open in full or download.
01Five areas of data
Goals, employees, time off, surveys and performance reviews.
02Your Things to do
Reviews, surveys, tasks, documents to sign, candidate feedback and approvals, overdue first, with links.
03How-to answers
Answers from the help center with a link to the article.
04Tables you can export
The first 5 rows inline, Show all, Download CSV.
05Your permissions apply
It sees only the data your role opens to you.
Actions you confirm

Update goals, request leave and approve requests from one sentence

Some requests take less time to say than to click. Ask the assistant to add a check-in, request time off or approve a request waiting for you, and it prepares the change as a card that shows what will change. You confirm or cancel. A time off request is checked first: the card shows your balance on the first day off, the balance left after the request and who approves it. If the request breaks a policy rule, the assistant says why and creates nothing.
01Goals and key results
Create, update and add check-ins with status, confidence and a comment.
02Your own time off
Request and cancel your own requests.
03Approvals waiting for you
Approve or decline time off, with a comment saved to the decision.
04Recognitions
Give a colleague a recognition the category rules allow you to give.
05Nothing is deleted
The assistant can't delete anything.
Files and tables

Attach a spreadsheet so you stop retyping rows into forms

Give the assistant a file instead of copying rows into the question. Attach the list of next quarter's goals and ask it to set them. It reads the file for the rest of the conversation, so the next question doesn't need it again. Every goal it would create comes back as its own card, and Confirm all applies the whole set at once.
01Up to 5 files per question
Each up to 4.5 MB.
02Six formats
xlsx, xls, csv, pdf, docx and txt.
03One upload per conversation
The file stays in context until the conversation ends.
04Batch confirmation
Confirm all or Cancel all for every card in one answer.
AI in recruiting, surveys and reviews

Use AI where reading takes the longest, one job or survey at a time

The slowest HR reading happens inside one job, one survey or one review cycle. Skailer has AI for each of them, switched on only where you choose. Recruiting AI scores CVs against the job requirements and can draft the requirements from the job data. Surveys AI summarizes open-ended answers under the survey's anonymity rules. Reviews AI writes highlights for each participant.
01Candidate scoring
Overall score, summary and a rating per requirement; recruiters can adjust the score.
02Job requirements
Drafted from the title, description and role context already entered.
03Survey summaries
Themes and highlights from open answers; anonymous surveys stay anonymous.
04Review highlights
Per participant, once their reviewers have submitted.
05Per-item switch
Turned on for a job, survey or review cycle, not across the account.

Control for admins

Decide where AI runs so nothing turns on by itself

AI in Skailer starts switched off. An admin turns on the assistant and each module's AI in Settings → Features when the plan includes them. Recruiting, survey and review AI then needs a second switch inside the job, survey or cycle. Conversations stay private to the person who had them, and a request limit per plan keeps usage predictable.
01Two-level switch
The organization first, then each job, survey or review cycle.
02Private history
Only the employee sees their conversations and can delete them.
03Hidden during Log in as
The assistant isn't available while an admin is logged in as an employee.
04Usage limits
Requests per period depend on the plan, and the assistant says when the limit is reached.

The same data in Skailer, or in the AI client your team already uses

SK.AI works inside Skailer. With the Skailer MCP connector, the same questions and actions are available in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code, under the same permissions. Both read the data Core HR, Goals, Time off, Surveys and Reviews already hold, so there is nothing to export or sync.

What is SK.AI in Skailer?

SK.AI is the AI assistant built into the Skailer HR platform. Employees, managers and HR ask it about goals, colleagues, time off, surveys, performance reviews and their Things to do, and it answers from company data within the permissions of the person asking. It can create and update goals and check-ins, request or cancel the user's own time off, approve or decline time off waiting for them, and give recognitions, but only after the user confirms a card that shows the change. It can't delete data. Separate AI features score candidates against job requirements and summarize survey and review answers, each switched on per job, survey or review cycle.
AI and your data

Know what the assistant sends to AI and what it never does

The assistant sends the question, the earlier messages of the conversation and the data it read to answer, and it reads only what the asker's role allows. It doesn't pull emails, chats or files unless someone attached them or copied the content into a field. Anonymous survey analysis never names respondents. Recruiters can change a candidate's score, and the hiring decision stays with people. Skailer keeps service logs of AI processing.
Skailer vs. the alternatives

Three ways teams use AI on HR data

Most teams start with a general chatbot and an export. It handles any question, but it sees whatever someone pasted in and can't change anything in the HR system. AI built into an HR platform reads live data. The differences are in what it can change, how it asks first, and where you switch it on.

How it works

How SK.AI works

01Switch it on
An admin enables AI Assistant in Settings → Features, and Recruiting, Surveys or Reviews AI if the team needs them.
02Ask in your own words
Open Assistant in the left panel and ask a question, or attach a file. It answers from the data your role opens.
03Confirm what changes
For any change it shows a card. Confirm or cancel each one, or answer them all at once.
04Add AI where reading takes longest
In a job, survey or review cycle, switch on AI to score candidates or summarize answers.
