How the ATS savings estimate works

01Your hourly rate
The monthly salary is divided by 160 working hours.
02Time per task
Actions per week × minutes per action × 4.3 weeks gives the hours a task takes each month.
03Savings per task
Those hours at the hourly rate are what one recruiter saves; multiplied by the team size, what the team saves.
04Your total
Only the tasks you keep selected add up to the monthly estimate.

How do you calculate the ROI of an ATS?

Start from recruiter time. For each manual task an ATS removes, multiply how often it happens per week by the minutes it takes and by 4.3 weeks, then price those hours at the recruiter's hourly rate (monthly salary divided by 160). Add up the tasks and multiply by the number of recruiters. The Skailer ATS savings calculator does this for 13 common tasks, such as adding candidates from LinkedIn, removing duplicate searches and scheduling interviews. It doesn't include time-to-hire value or the licence cost.
